How to hide empty filters in Magento layered navigation

If you are using Improved Layered Navigation and want to hide the filter options when they are empty (0), please open Admin > Catalog > Attributes > Manage attributes and set "Filterable (with results)" for attribute property "Use in the layered navigation."
