Driving more traffic to your website

I've used Blog Pro for about 6 Months. The main issue I wanted to solve is driving traffic through more content. The module made a significant increase in natural search referrals. Plus it integrates well with our theme. I would recommend this extension to any magento website for driving more traffic to your website. Magento natively is a good basket system but lacks the ability to ad content easily in a blog format. This was just the extension i was looking for. Ive previously used the fishpig wordpress one before but the styling caused lots of issues.

Not the best Amasty can do..

Module is fully working. Still, you could have added some widgets. And looking at the code in depth, some optimizations could have been made better. Numerous database queries are used on the blog home page, when you could have used only one or two.. Magento 2 code style guidelines are not respected. Object manager is used sometimes when it's not really necessary, and Magento 2 team strictly disencourages this usage of the Object manager. Factory design pattern is not used and that led me to an annoying issue when overriding your code. Theming is made difficult since blocks are defined in the code and not in layout files. Styling is done using CSS and not LESS (or only a tiny part of it).. We trust you on many aspects, but this module was disappointing. We should have used Magefan_Blog open source module.. For the price of 232€, this module is not worth it.

I liked that I can select the number of blocks displayed on blog, though I didn't like the display of features images, as the size is too small and no matter how hard I tried to do this, nothing changed. For the rest, the features are great and module works well form the start no bugs at all.

Tags cloud is old but working

Though tags is pretty old-fashioned I like this feature, it still helps my visitors to get from point a to b and find something interesting on the way reducing the bounce rate. On the whole I didn’t face any issues with installation or configs. It looks appealing on the frontend, moreover they bothered to add cool widgets. So, I recommend.

All in all, it’s okay. However, there’s still features to work at. For instance, wysiwig is handy but doesn’t work with short content something always goes wrong, the module also doesn’t support php 7.1 when it’s the right time to start these edits. So, I hope you’ll do it right because for the rest it works well on the frontend.

We wanted our blog to be not on the subdomain, but in the folder, which can be a tricky part with Magento and WordPress. This option was the best for us except for the price (hint: we got a Christmas discount!). The blog has all the basic features you need for a simple blog (keep in mind that if you need more functionality, it's better to go with WordPress, it will be cheaper, but you'll have to ask your sys admin to fix the Magento-WordPress issue). Maybe the looks of some page parts can be a bit better. I hope that the extension will be updated with more skins and layout options.
