Display Magento 2 out of stock products on the frontend without any warnings that they are currently unavailable you risk losing potential customer;

Go to Stores > Configuration > Catalog > Inventory > Stock Options.Display Out of Stock Products: Choose Yes to enable displaying Magento out of stock products in the frontend. To enable the stock alert function of Magento 2, you need to allow this config to first.

How can admin configure the Magento 2 low stock notification sending to his email?

Magento 2 low stock notification dispatch to admin’s email can be configured using the Out of Stock Notification extension:

Navigate to Stores → Configuration → Out of Stock Notification → Admin Notifications tab;
Set the Notify Admin about Inventory Low in Stock feature to Yes;

Out of Stock and Price Notification, this extension is the best I have ever seen as most of our products are digital, all our product will go out of stock and come back very often. There are 1000s of customer who will be ordering immediately based on these info and this plugin really help this. We are yet to see the real time performance, but definitely it will help as we are very much aware. webmaster like Us.

Good but missing useful function

We have been using this extension over a year now. It works as expected and allow customers to subscribe to the product and get notified when back in stock. But unfortunately we are now on the look out for a new extension because an important feature for our needs is the ability to compare what product customers are waiting for and if they are on order. This extension does not allow you to export the data and when you are managing 1000's of products, you can't do so through their back end dashboard. You need to be able to export and manipulate the data. I gave it a 4 starts because it work as intended.
