Customers are charged only once per purchase. Magento 2 stores demand payments when a backorder or a pre order is placed; the extension doesn’t change this functionality.
The module allows store admins to use the pre-order condition in catalog and cart price rules as within this extension, so in other Amasty modules with the conditions tree. This means that you can automatically mass apply a variety of discounts and special offers to pre-order items.
Equip your web store with custom pre-order or Magento 2 backorder buttons instead of a regular Add to Cart button. Strengthen your customers’ engagement with catchy pre-order button texts like ‘Be the first to pre-order’, ‘Hurry up to pre-order’, etc. Reduce manual work by editing the button texts and notes via mass action.
Stick a pre-order warning to the products that are not in stock at the moment. The notes will be displayed on product pages and pinned to the order information in the Orders tab of a customer account. You can use variables like {sku} or {delivery_date} to make notes more informative.
Allow customers to pre-order configurable, grouped, bundle, virtual, and gift card products. If only particular simple items of a complex product (i.e. configurable, bundle, or grouped) are currently available for pre-ordering, the module will detect this and will show the corresponding backorder message to a customer.
With the Amasty's Magento 2 Pre-Order extension, you don’t need to look through the whole list of placed orders to find out which items have been ordered in advance. We added a special column to the Orders grid so you can conveniently manage all of your pre-orders.
Monitor, filter and modify any pre-order info right from the grid to minimize time spent on catalog processing with Magento 2 Extended Product Grid. Create custom grid view templates to ensure prompt access to any catalog data your admins may need.
The Pro version of the Magento 2 extension lets you analyze recent orders and conveniently track all the products, sales, and customers stats related to pre-orders on a separate dashboard. In the extension general settings, you can adjust what order statuses should be taken into analysis.
With the Magento 2 Pre Order Pro extension, you can allow your customers to add both pre-order and regular products to one cart. But if it is for some reason inconvenient for your store, you can disallow mixed carts and in such a case pre-order products and regular products will be added only in separate orders.
Enhance customers’ shopping experience by displaying the pre-order products release date on the storefront. All you need to do is to add a {release date} variable to your pre-order warning messages. Configure the settings to replace Magento 2 backorder status and hide the pre-order note when the release date comes.
Timely inform customers about the release of products they are waiting for. In the extension general settings, you can adjust the order statuses for which the Magento 2 backorder notifications will be sent as soon as the products change their statuses from pre-order. Save your time by sending the release notifications via mass action right from the product grid.
